Account Manager – OEM (Automotive)

The OEM Account Manager is responsible for developing new as well as maintaining existing relationships with OEM business partners. Strong candidate will have the ability to cultivate business partner relationships by providing growth plans that will contribute to the mutual success of future programs and strategic goals.

-Travel as needed to support sales effort and customer activity.
-Manage multiple accounts and multiple projects for each account.
-Work with sales and marketing teams and managers to develop sales, pricing, and marketing strategies.
-Develop effective business relationships with a diverse customer base.
-Develop relationships at all levels within a large organization.
-Manage sales activities to large global OE manufacturers.
-Sales presentations to a varied group of customers.
-Communicate the customer’s technical requirements.
-Manage and maintain various internal documents relevant to assigned accounts, such as -Sales Reports, Prospects, Expense reports, Inventory reports, etc.
-Analyze and present business opportunities for review.
-Insure that all activities for assigned accounts are properly performed in a timely fashion, either personally or by supporting roles, including but not limited to the following: phone, e-mail or fax inquiries; quote requests; backorder inquiries; quality or technical inquiries, and credit issues.
-Advises management of challenges and assures that corrective action is taken.
-Provides reports regarding trends, competitive environment, new products, new business, etc.
-Works with Product Management and Engineering Groups to develop new products.
-Interfaces with Sr. Management, Manufacturing, and Engineering, Customer Service, and Production Control departments to allow for efficient operation of the department.
