This position is responsible to assist the buying team with miscellaneous paperwork and tasks.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Compile and maintain information and records to prepare purchase orders. Edits Purchase requests and prepares purchase orders. Maintains records, receives, prepares or verifies documents, searching for and compiling information and data; responding to routine request with answers by phone, in person or by correspondence. Performs daily office tasks such as filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, posting, and other similar duties, following organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Creates daily reporting and assists in expediting purchase orders as directed. Coordinate communication between departments including both internal and external business partners. May be involved with the creation and tracking of billings, credits and vendor deductions. Maintains files and records of inventory and delivery materials.
Good oral and written communication skills, willingness to learn quickly and easily, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
3-5 years of industry experience (food service distribution, retail/grocery, warehouse, grower, etc.)
Must be comfortable with working at your desk the majority of the day taking/making phone calls, answering questions, solving problems, and reviewing the reports
