The Controller will be responsible for the company’s financial plans and policies, its accounting policies, its accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports.

OVERVIEW:
Direct the financial affairs and prepare financial analysis for the organization
Develop and guide the company’s financial plans and policies
Establish major economic objectives, strategic plans, analysis systems, training opportunities, and performance measurements
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the financial community and 3rd party accounting firms
Will be responsible for leading a strong accounting team that is motivated to succeed under the mentorship of a strong leader
Supervise general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, computer software systems, and budgetary controls
Oversee payroll functions, directs 401K, and employee benefit plans as well as insurance programs
Responsible for tax planning and compliance
Directly involved in conceptualizing and executing IT initiatives
Some travel may be required to visit other company locations

Qualifications:
10+ years of Controller experience
Multi-division and/or multi-state knowledge
IT oversight and comprehensive understanding
Proven Supervisory and Leadership skills
4 year degree in Accounting; Masters or CPA preferred

Supervises:
AR/AP Staff, HR staff including Safety, and IT
