DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY

Your Role Within the Company:
As the Director of Technology, you will oversee the development and execution of new technologies to commercialization. You will responsible for all innovation functions related to identifying and developing value add solutions that are consistent with the business strategy to grow the business as well as the process of integration to production. Duties include the following:
Connect existing technologies/solutions to customer issues/problems to create a solution which can be commercialized and generates revenue and income.
Provide expertise in problem identification to support new technologies for growth.
Pursue the complete understanding of market and customer needs at a level which can be translated into opportunity.
Accountable and responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating innovation solutions and excellence in innovation execution.
Able to identify, manage, and protect relevant and significant intellectual property to protect innovation solutions and market share.
Intimate knowledge and experience in risk management, fiscal accountability, people management, regulatory compliance, leadership, people development and professionalism to ensure successful and sustained innovation organization.
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration with other functions within the organization to facilitate positive outcomes.
Participate with the organization’s leadership to develop goals, strategic direction, financial plans, and future vision.
Work closely with Project Leads, Engineers, Sales and Business Development as well as technicians and production to mitigate risk and to ensure customer requirements are met.
Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technical Field required
10+ years of related experience required
Previous supervisory / management experience
Possess people management skills, technical skills, and knowledge in metal technology (metal finishing, thermal insulated coatings, fluoropolymer coatings, and tube fabrication)
