EHS Manager – Central Nebraska

We are looking for an EHS Manager to join our team!
This is a great opportunity for a high energy, motivated EHS Manager within a premier employer in Central Nebraska. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, has a background in the manufacturing environment and has experience developing and leading a zero-incident culture.
As the EHS Manager, you will:
Develop, implement, influence and manage all necessary strategies to create a zero-incident culture and thus meet the company’s commitment to regulatory compliance.
Be responsible for all activities related to environmental, occupational safety and health, permitting and compliance for the facility. The EHS Manager will ensure that the facility is in compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations and company policies/guidelines.
Provide safety and environmental training for employees at all levels; facilitate training as needed to include orientation compliance, ergonomics and other licensed programs with the managers and/or supervisors for all employees.
Ensure first aid treatment for plant employees is covered and assist with medical treatment when needed.
Participate and assist supervisors during incident investigations; facilitate problem solving sessions to identify the root cause of incidents as they arise.
Who we are looking for:
You have excellent people skills and can communicate with and inspire a team.
You have worked with EHS standards and regulations and have the ability to create excitement for implementation of such programs.
You have a knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations and experience with regulatory training.
You have a B.S. from four-year college or university; and a minimum of three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
