Your Role Within the Company:
In this position, you will provide manufacturing engineering leadership to the Department. Supervise and direct engineering activities of engineering exempt staff members and hourly technicians. Lead major engineering projects including project planning, justification, specification development and budgeting.
Vendor interaction, equipment specifications/design, concepts and negotiations
Oversees machine purchase and installations, as well as the building of whole machines or processes
Provides significant leadership for process and machine designs for new product/process developments
Identifies and implements significant continuous improvement project
Directly responsible for the outcome of other engineering resource performance and results, provides direct supervision, decision making, and guidance to less senior engineers
Provides lead in creativity around solving problems. Generally able to identify solutions to problem
Works with all manufacturing areas of the plant regarding process and machine designs. Works with plant engineers, management, vendors, consultants, and interfacing with other plants and platform teams of development, design, and the fabrication of equipment or processes for new products.
Degree of Accountability (discretion/supervision) – works independently with little to no input required, reports to engineering manager of unit manager. Accountable for capital budgets, design outcomes.
Generates new project ideas. Engineering work is subject to the review by Engineering Manager, or Plant management.
Ensures that all equipment is safe to operate. Actively promotes and leads safety of the technical group.

B.S. Degree in Engineering
Knowledgeable of ISO & FDA regulations and Quality policies
Knowledgeable of how Statistical Process Control (SPC) is applied
Must possess and have demonstrated leadership skills
Previous manufacturing experience required
