Human Resources Manager

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team!
This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, team oriented Human Resource Manager within a premier employer in Central Iowa. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker, has a background in the manufacturing environment and has progressive experience managing all aspects of Human Resources.
As HR Manager, you will:
Be responsible for all recruiting activities; including candidate tracking, advertising, screening, interviewing, selection and hiring.
Manage all compensation and benefit programs for all employees.
Assist with employee relation issues and work with department supervisors and senior staff concerning disciplinary action. Act as mediator for interactions as needed, and assist with conflict resolution.
Oversee Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment claims caseload. Works closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager on WC and safety related issues.
Develop and act as lead trainer for effective training programs; including new hire training, supervisory training, and new employee orientation.
Assist Department Heads with performance appraisal process, and evaluate merit increases and/or performance improvement plans.
Who we are looking for:
You have excellent people skills and can communicate with and inspire a team.
You have worked within a manufacturing setting and want be engaged with employees on the plant floor.
You have BS/BA AND at least five years of progressive experience within the Human Resource field, or equivalent combination. Preference will be given to candidates with certification in PHR or SPHR.
