As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support multiple product groups to meet product quality, product cost, process improvements and safety requirements.
Typical duties include managing and/or participating in cross functional teams to accomplish project goals. You will be the resident expert on production equipment and processes, and be responsible to ensure efficient product processing while maintaining established quality/cost/safety standards.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Provide daily direction to manufacturing and maintenance personnel to set up, trouble shoot and repair automated manufacturing equipment.
Provide expertise in specification, procurement, build, documentation, validation and training on automated manufacturing equipment.
Team with manufacturing and quality to review/disposition production defects and provide process and/or equipment corrective actions to assure production schedules and quality expectations are met.
Review manufacturing equipment and processes for improvement potential using statistical data and analysis of equipment condition then effectively manage change projects.
Review product field returns to determine root cause of potential manufacturing defects then develop and implement effective corrective actions.
Support new product development, quality improvement, and integration projects.
Demonstrated abilities leading cross functional teams and meetings.
Solid organizational, functional coordination and presentation skills.
Strong analysis, communication, and judgment.
Mechanical aptitude/trouble shooting and electronic trouble shooting.
2-3 years related experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar
Trained and/or certified in Lean and/or Six Sigma.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Project.
Working knowledge of GD&T, SPC, Validation, DFMEA, and PFMEA.
