Your Role Within the Company:
The Mechanical Engineer performs a variety of assignments requiring the application of sand design techniques. A Mechanical Engineer is capable of exercising independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard design techniques, procedures, and criteria to make design adaptions and modifications.
Define, organize, execute, and coordinate engineering assignments
Serve as a technical resource on complex design issues and advanced engineering, concepts, principles, and processes
Prepare design calculations and documentation that support the project design basis
Interface with key client and project staff in formal, informal and project lead team meetings
Research, design, and specify discipline-related processes and equipment
Development of specifications
Perform shop drawing review
Construction RFI review and development of responses
Ability and willingness to travel to an off-site location and/or accept client site assignments when required

Knowledge of processes and technologies associated with a wide range of power transmission components. Both standard and custom made such as: Specialty parts/wheel hubs/jacks, couplers and clutches/tubing/threaded rod PTO drivelines and components, sheaves & pulleys, power transmission sprockets, sprockets, gears and roller chain sprockets.
Knowledge of relative cost to perform various engineering services and projects
Ability to apply engineering techniques commonly used in industrial capital projects
Ability to identify, interpret and apply relevant codes and standards to engineering designs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use a computer and computer software programs relevant to the engineering discipline, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Demonstrated competence in engineering discipline
Understand and work toward budgets and deadlines at a discipline level
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership and presentation skills
Familiarity and understanding the business of targeted agricultural products
Education & Work Experience:
10+ years of mechanical design experience including drive lines, universal joints, and guarding
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
