The Controls/Vision Engineer shall assist Electrical Control technicians when needed in trouble shooting difficult problems. This individual shall provide to the Electrical Control technicians, EMT’s and Setups the training/mentoring needed to repair control systems plant wide.
The Controls/Vision Engineer will provide leadership by set an example for Electrical Control Technicians EMT’s and Setups. They will have the mentoring skills to be able to coach others and will delegate work to other associates as needed.
The Controls/Vision Engineer will provide input and technical expertise towards setting the plant-wide controls and vision standard.
Plan, implement and coordinate new process development activities.
Coordinate the development of new processes by interfacing with personnel from R&D, technology, product design, product development, quality, production and manufacturing and assembly and packaging technology. Serve most likely as a core team member representing process development and manufacturing as new products are developed or line extensions.
Specify equipment, tooling and fixtures for new processes or existing process changes. Oversee project to install or change related equipment as assigned by manager.
Coordinate and carry out qualification and validation activities for new products, processes, changes and transfers as required.
Coordinate and communicate assigned projects and their status with the appropriate personnel and departments.
Write capital expenditure requests for equipment, tooling and fixtures as needed.
Install new equipment, tooling and fixtures to support new product development. Responsible for documentation and training.
Develop and implement processes for pilot production and scale-up programs.
Travel requirements up to 10% possible depending on projects.
Must be proficient in writing large complex PLC programs and versed in
Must have at least 5 yrs. of controls and vision project experience.
An Associate’s Degree in Electronic Technology and minimum of five years’ experience in controls and vision.
Preferred: Bachelor Engineering Degree.
Preferred: Medical Device Manufacturing Experience and understanding Process Validations (IQ, OQ, PQ)
