The Equipment Manager has significant autonomy and requires a broad skill-set, including general management capability, attention to detail, “get-it-done” attitude, superior interpersonal skills and in depth agricultural experience. Serving as an example for and coaching team members toward our core values is essential in this position:
Accountable for all equipment and facilities management to ensure the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance.
Maintenance, repair, and calibration of all field equipment and center pivot irrigation systems.
Maintenance and repair of all shipping and load out equipment and buildings.
Troubleshooting and resolving new and/or different technical problems regarding equipment.
Manage all parts and inventory.
Assist with all equipment sourcing and purchasing.
Direct, coordinate, and support maintenance personnel.
Follow the safety program and assure all state and federal requirements are met such as OSHA.
Maintain necessary records for maintenance and scheduling.
Assist Farm Managers with budget preparation, planting, harvest, and shipping functions?
Demonstrated strong work-ethic, outstanding leadership ability and exceptional interpersonal
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least one year of agriculture irrigation system experience, farm equipment and management experience
Adaptability to changing situations and have the ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple priorities
Proficient in the use of Windows based computer programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and a general aptitude with software systems
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to train and work with operational personnel on the farm ?
Potato planting and harvesting equipment experience preferred
Associates of Applied Science or Bachelors of Science degree in an agricultural related field
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
5+ years’ experience in agriculture, irrigation systems and working with farm equipment as well as ability to travel up to 30% of work time
