Our client, a worldwide manufacturer of filtration products, is now looking for an IT Specialist to join their team!

Position Summary: As the IT Specialist, you will be responsible identifying, researching, and resolving technical support issues. You will install, modify, and make minor repairs to computer hardware and software systems, along with monitoring service performance and helping to scale service capacity and efficiently to meet demand. Duties include the following:

Answer client’s inquiries in person and via telephone concerning systems operation; diagnose system hardware, software, operator problems; and recommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation.
Replace defective or inadequate hardware and software packages.
Refer major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.
Attend technical conferences and seminars to keep abreast of new software and hardware product developments.
Work with vendors on arranging repairs.
Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to the support and administration of the Company’s IT assets.
Support the Company’s disaster recovery plans and procedures as directed.
Responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Five years related experience supporting a Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, or Distribution environment.
Knowledge of Labeling software, LabelView, NiceLabel, Bartender
Proficient in PC imaging, MS deployment tool kit, PowerShell, Auto IT Scripting, Ghost
Skilled in Report Writing, Crystal Reports, SQL Query Language, Database connectivity tools (ODBC, OLEDB)
Understanding of Scanning Equipment, Wavelink Avalanche, and package builder, Staylinked
Familiarity with Alchemy process Ghost and Pearl scripting.
UPS Software, World ship, Crossware, VB Scripting

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) certification with additional related certifications preferred.
