Local manufacturer is now hiring a Maintenance Supervisor!
We are evaluating candidates with exceptional leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.

Maintenance Supervisor will supervise and coordinate activities of skilled maintenance employees to minimize mechanical down-time, and to optimize preventative maintenance efforts.


Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to the maintenance employees
Provide direction for maintaining production equipment so downtime is minimized
Develop, maintain and then improve a Preventative Maintenance Program
Maintain a safe and productive environment for the maintenance department at plant(s) which includes thoroughly training new and existing employees on how to work safely, recognizing hazards and understand safety rules

Ensure necessary safety equipment and devices are provided and that safety rules are enforced
Assist maintenance staff in completing large maintenance projects on an as-needed basis to meet deadlines
Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel
Directs workers engaged in performing structural repairs and maintenance of plant(s)
Develop, implement, and evaluate maintenance procedures
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
Monitor employee work levels and review work performance
Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use
Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts
Participate in budget preparation, coordinating purchasing and monitoring departmental expenditures
Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears, electrical, pneumatics and welding equipment
Meet with vendors or suppliers to discuss products used in repair work
Review, evaluate, accept, and coordinate completion of work bid from contractors
Confer with personnel, such as management, engineering, quality control, customers, to coordinate work activities, or identify and review resource needs
Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of the shop to ensure an adequate working environment
Maintain time and production records

2-Year degree preferred; will consider work equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in maintenance supervision, in manufacturing setting
Computer competencies- ability to navigate the internet, learn proprietary software, and use MS products
Mechanically and mathematically inclined
