Your Role Within the Company:
This role ensures that all quality related systems of the plant are established and documented to provide a safe and effective product that meets the customer’s needs. This will be accomplished by developing and implementing quality, International Standard Organization (ISO) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) awareness. Approves the disposition of all non-conforming products. Approves the release of product from the manufacturing area. Approves all changes to the Device Master Record. Develops and implements product reliability and maintainable systems.
Manages Quality Engineering personnel.
Manages the internal audit program.
Directs and reviews quality audits and follows up on an action plans.
Directs of handles and customer complaint investigations as requested by the Quality Assurance and Liability Department.
Approves strategic quality planning. Directs, reviews and evaluate Quality Assurance projects. Develops and teaches Quality Assurance training programs. Facilities continuous improvement processes for the plant.
Ensures systems and products comply with applicable government regulations. When required, act as an alternate liaison for the FDA. Directs the quality aspects of government contract bids and awards.
Manages vendor qualification and certification programs, in cooperation with Materials Management.
Complies with all local, state, federal, and safety and quality regulations, policies, and practices and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, engineering management, or related science field is required, along with formal training in quality engineering. A MBA is desirable.
Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ, CQE, and/or CQM certifications highly desirable.
Seven years of increasing responsibility in quality assurance.
