Vendor Relations Manager – Retail

Location : Grand Island, NE
Job Type : Fulltime/Salary + Commission

Executive management position responsible for driving division revenues and profitability. Will set product strategy and assortment to assure premium customer experience by working closely with industry partners, sales teams, and company leadership. Expected to develop, manage and execute goals, budgets, and critical objectives. Utilize retail expertise, competition, and market/industry trends to provide the overall framework to support planning and customer service excellence.

Key responsibilities:
Train and support sales staff
Supervise design staff
Effectively communicate strategies, vision, and business results
Manage product selection, pricing, purchasing, and inventory levels/turns
Work closely with store management to identify business opportunities

Evaluate market trends and price of goods and supplies in the market
Networking and negotiating with Suppliers for competitive prices
Compiling market survey analysis and reports
Assisting in Budgets and Financial Plans for division
Ensuring quality standards for goods/products

Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field OR may consider experience equivalent
2+ years of personnel and inventory management experience
Proficient in MS Office applications
Retail financial planning and assortment planning experience preferred
Current or previous retail, customer service, and purchasing experience
(Preference will be given to experience in office supplies and/or furniture)
